. - So, I know we are at time, but these last three slides were really just going to be how you can reach out to us. And I know we've said it multiple times, it's not because we don't have anything to do or we're, you know, lonely, but really, please reach out to us if you have any issues, any questions or if you want to start, you know, a legislative plan for 2025. Folks are actually looking beyond the NGN launch in a couple of ways. So the first question related is once the exam changes with the launch of NGN, let's say, in 2023, should people expect that, potentially, it changes again in 2024 and then again in 2025, or are we looking at a fairly stable exam in 2023 for several more years? - Yeah. What drives the development of the test would be the test design, which would then be based upon, like, the practice analysis and the knowledge, skills, and abilities analysis that we do.

I’ve learned and grown in these roles, I’ve built relationships with our members, and that has prepared me for this next step. How will artificial intelligence (AI) remote proctoring — the ability for a candidate to take the NCLEX anywhere — impact exam candidates and educators? Remote proctoring is an immediate need — we hope to have it in place by January 2025. Why is it immediate? Because the pandemic taught us that we could get shut down again. If our test gets shut down, nurses don’t go to work and they don’t get licensed. Remote proctoring benefits candidates because it removes the mystery and the fear of going to an unknown space to take a test.

However, you know, in trying to find the most current information, 2022, I think it's important that we look at, you know, different aspects of the data. Researchers of the McKinsey Institute estimate that the U.S. will have a 10% to 20% nursing gap by 2025 as the number of patients needing care exceeds the number of nurses. I can tell you that at AONL and AHA, we are working with a company called Prolucent who is actually on a daily basis scrubbing the hospitals and health systems postings. And the number of healthcare organization vacancies for registered nurses is very significant in many organizations in the double digits.
