The National Council of State Boards of Nursing (NCSBN) is a not-for-profit organization whose purpose is to provide an organization through which boards of nursing act and counsel together on matters of common interest and concern affecting the public health, safety and welfare, including the development of licensing examinations in nursing. Noting that the application deadline is typically a week after Midyear, members will be committed to spreading the word at Midyear. They discussed new ways to increase acknowledgement, including announcements at the conference and potential social media campaigns. The meeting concluded with the committee agreeing to reconvene on April 14, 2025 to discuss awards applications and select 2025 recipients. Committee members were asked to meet with staff around 3 pm for an orientation to the functionality / operation of the photo device etc. The Awards page on the NCSBN website is updated and launched in preparation for the annual meeting Awards display. The Awards Brochure reflects the submissions deadline for the 2025 Awards program. The 2025 Awards Program will officially be open to membership in January 2025. An earlier launch is not possible due to the policy which stipulates the month of January. Any recommendations involving changes to the current Awards program will be presented to the Board at the December meeting.
